The Role of Governments, Civil Society and Faith-Based Organizations
面對這時代嚴峻的挑戰：政府，公民社會和宗教團體所扮演的角色

Seoul, Korea—A special International Leadership Conference (ILC) convened from Feb. 12 to 16, 2016, in Seoul, Korea, to discuss the theme “Addressing the Critical Challenges of Our Time: The Role of Governments, Civil Society and Faith-Based Organizations.”
More than 340 international delegates from 60 nations, including more than 140 current parliamentarians, 13 government ministers, and other leading figures in religion, media, academia, civil society and government, attended the conference at the Lotte Hotel World in Seoul’s Jamsil neighborhood. The event was co-sponsored by UPF, The Washington Times and the Segye Ilbo newspaper.
In addition to the ILC program, the delegates participated in three main events: 1) a celebration of the birthdays of the UPF founders; 2) the founding of the International Parliamentarians Peace Association at the National Assembly, the seat of the Korean government; and 3) the Peace Road 2016 Launching in support of the peaceful reunification of North and South Korea. ......Read more on attached ILC 2016 report
參與2016.2.12-16韓國首爾『國際指導者會議』感想
全球和平聯盟台灣總會 陳拓環理事長
此次國際指導者會議有來自六十多個國家的14個部長及140多位現任國會議員的參與，同時在韓國國會也成立了國際國會議員和平協會，由韓國國會議長親自蒞臨祝賀，也有多個不同黨派的國會議員蒞臨致辭。由於邀請國內多位立法委員，他們皆因過完年立法院剛開議，無法參與，使得我們失去了和各國國會議員聯誼的機會，也失去了為中華民國發聲的大好時機，甚為可惜。希望未來立法院能鼓勵委員多加參與這樣的國際會議。
另外這次也在靠近板門店的和平鐘附近舉行2016年的peace Road出發儀式，由各洲代表敲和平鐘，澳門李嘉曾教授代表放和平鴿，在典禮之後，由各國代表騎自行車，沿邊界騎將近四公里的行程，展開了2016年的和平之路，我國也將於七月份展開，作全世界的接力活動，它將從南非的好望角到智利的聖地牙哥，屆時希望外交部NGO委員會也能大力協助，使我國在這項非常有意義的國際活動中不要缺席，同時也表示我國對於國際和平運動的重視。
本次會議的例行各國發表是在韓國首爾的Lotte 飯店舉行，總計分為五個議程，其中包括在韓國國會所舉行的國際國會議員和平協會成立大會，以及韓國國會議長的和平演說。這次大會探討的議題包括了氣候變遷、戰勝極端主義，東北亞的和平與穩定、區域觀點的探討與分享及國會議員與和平運動。發表人則包括馬利的國會議長Hon.Issaka Sidibe，韓國國會議員Hon. Na Kyung-won美國前駐韓大使Amb. Christopher Hill，英國國會議員Hon. Lord Nazir Ahmed以色列國會議員等人。
另外，捷克的國會議員Hon. Nina NOvakova,尼泊爾和平與重建部長Hon. Ek Nath Dhakal, 約旦的國會議員Hon. Dr. Falak Jamani,韓國的國會議員Hon. Kim Eul Dong, 美國的國會議員Hon. Ed Royce 都發表了精彩的演講.
由於來自世界各國的許多重要人士的參與，我國若能把握這樣的機會，建立國際友誼，事實上對於推動外交工作將會有許多的助益，希望下次我國能有更多政府重要官員與會，使得世界能聽見台灣的聲音。
